I went all-in-one for lack of desk space. I just brought up the all-in-ones from HP because there is good Linux support for them.

In the past the only issues I ever ran into was the system throwing a fit because it didn't have the exact device usb id in it's list so it wouldn't allow the device 'user' access. The Canon and the one I had before it (a LiDE 10, I think) were essentially ready for use by plugging them in. I did have to set up a udev rule to keep from having to run XSane as root under Slackware.

Of those models I personally own an Epson Perfection 1260 but I wouldn't hold my breath trying to find that particular model these days. Most likely discontinued...

Issue at the moment is scanner.

I HATE all in one solutions (print/scan/fax).... FUP's loose everything. (As well as spec usually big compromise)
