If you have powerboost working you are 1.1 complaint, and the reason is 1.1 sets specifies the dynamic throughput ability 1.0 does not have this feature. The fact that the firmware states that the firmware and hardware is DocSIS 1.1 compliant does not reflect in any way what so ever as to what standard is currently in use.

I believe PowerBoost requires DocSIS 1.1 in order to function. So, if you go to speedtest.net and receive a D/L or U/L speed higher than rated for your tier (i.e. you're getting PowerBoost), then you know you're not on a DocSIS 1.0 system. I can't say for sure, but I think the Comcast chat CSR just got confused - just experienced one of those moments myself. If you call the 1-800 number or visit your local office, I believe you will get better information.

I would say you got a hinky CSR. If a area is offering CDV and "higher speeds" (Were they talking about 16/2 Blast!), it'd have to be at least 1.1 if not 3.0 infrastructure.

Comcast offers 16/2 net and CDV on a 1.1 link. So I think you just got a misinformed rep. And as for CDV, I've got it and it's great, the quality is outstanding. So, I'd say go for it.
