| Looking for new printer
I currently have a Cannon i560 that works very well but the problem is that I have it on a print server and the printer will not communicate back to the PC to advise when low on ink. Does anyone know of a good color printer that works well on a print server? The print server is a D-Link with 1 usb and 2 parallel ports. |

| reply to Stu Pidaso Cartridge reporting varies by printer and software. I recently purchased a Canon Pixma iP4500. The printer is attached to my "server" which is just a regular PC that is left on all the time for file sharing/printing and is shared on my network. When I print from another PC and an ink cartridge is low, the popup displays on the computer I printed from warning of low ink levels. -- Google is your Friend |
