[FireFox] 2.0.0.16 Navigation toolbar is empty, not even address

I checked through the last page of threads and didn't see any reference to this issue, so I guess I'm just that special.

Gradually, starting on the right side, the navigation toolbar lost element after element, to where it is now completely blank. Observant me didn't notice until the address bar was gone, but now there's nothing.

I stripped down Firefox to the default install (no extensions or theme), but the problem persists. I'm guessing I'll have to reinstall the program, but does anyone have any ideas as to what may have caused this?

Re: [FireFox] 2.0.0.16 Navigation toolbar is empty, not even add

Ok. I just discovered that the items that were removed went back into the "customize" selection window, so I can rebuild the toolbar as it was before this happened.

The question is, should I just rebuild and forget this, or should I scrap this installation and start over with a fresh one?

And, if the consensus is to start fresh, how do I best do that and not lose my collection of extensions?

Might just be a corrupt extension or theme, create another profile and see if it does the same thing.

Then add extensions or themes 1 at a time to see which if any cause this behaviour.

I've seen a few toolbar bugs that are pretty easy to fix.

Thanks for the suggestions. I rebuilt the tool bars and so far things appear stable. I don't believe that it was an extension though, since the problem persisted even after I stripped all extensions and the theme. It was just vanilla Firefox, and it was still having the issue.

Thanks again for taking the time to post though, I appreciate it.
