Plus you are thinking in terms of level 70. +12 hit @ 70 is more hit than +12 hit @ 80. |

Yep, as impressive as these gems appear to be at level 70, I doubt they'll have any more impact at 80 than the current lot do now. Same with things like hit rating etc. Who knows what the hit rating cap will be for most classes at 80, but one thing I guarantee is it'll be higher than now. I'm guessing somewhere around 180-200 for those that currently have a 142 hit rating cap, but that's pure speculation.
One thing I like is they're building in protection for lower classes with things like leg armor kits. As well as the current limitations (minimum level and the gear must be in your possession) applying an armor kit will make that gear BOP. So they'll work in the same way as shoulder enchants, except the kits themselves will remain BOE.

It'll be interesting to see what the mats are for the BOP gems JC will be able to make. Currently you only need rares to make BOP epics better than those everyone else can use.

One thing I'd like to see is epics being given back their epic status. Right now they might as well be called 'common' and coloured in white.
Or will we see everyone in complete legendary armor sets 18 months after the expansion is released.. hmmm.. welfare legendaries..

im quite fond of the crafted epics, just due to the nature of the game they have to be epic and purple as there is no special color for crafted epic. badge gear wont be as needed in WOTLK due to 10man instance versions.

i dont do it cause i need to. i do it cause the WoW freaks here at DSLR/BBR need me too. some of them can only get their WoW fix via this website.

If Spellpower = Healing, then the new lvl80 "healing" gem is +1 heal better than the current?
Teardrop Crimson Spinel is currently +22 healing.
WTH? I suppose when they get done jacking with the numbers and rebalancing this stat, it will all make perfect sense........I hope. |
