| OS install. Itunes library
I have a machine that won't boot. I have a large itunes library that cost me hundreds of $$$. If I save all the data, and reinstall the OS, will the itunes DRM allow me to play the music on the freshly installed system? -- With every new wave of optimism, or pessimism, we are ready to abandon history, and time tested principles, but we cling tenaciously and unquestioningly to our prejudices. | reply to Rexter From previous experience... If you save all of the files from the drive, you can play anything from the Itunes library as long as you authorize the machine. I repair computers for people from time to time and if I can stick the drive into another machine or a usb drive and retrieve the files, I can reinstall the files back onto the fresh install and reauthorize the machine and everything goes good. I have even saved all of the music from a Ipod setting on 2 freezer packs to get the music. |
