| Updated topic email
I log into my email yesterday and see DOZENS of topic update emails.
This is strange to me as I've NEVER received updates this way. (I've been a member here for 7 years).
SO I go into my preferences and sure enough, it has changed (??????). I change it back to NO NOTIFICATION, and log into my mail again this morning only to find MORE updates.
What is going on?????????

| My guess.
You accidentally clicked "email" for reply notifications before replying to a post. I THINK this sets the default.
So, all of those posts you replied to before resetting the default will send emails unless you individually tell them to stop.

| Are you getting email notifications to this topic? I imagine not.
All of those topics you replied to before resetting the default will send emails until you turn that off for each topic.

Oh, and maybe I'm just careless, but I've accidentally hit that "Email" radio button a few times in the last few years.

I did shut off notification for EACH topic that updated me.
Not only did I not change it originally, I actually had to ASK someone where it was to turn it off again as I had forgotten. It had been so long since I touched ANY of my settings.....
