| A Noob Question
I want to know how to link a item in trade channel that is clickable to show the status without using any mod. I search google and I only find a macro to do that and pull the item from your bag 0,1. In the past I used wowecon to link item but now I don't use that program. I wonder if there is a way to do it. |

| reply to Alexoi Yep, basically if you can view the item within the game (either on the auction house, something you or someone nearby is wearing or in your bags) after you start typing in chat, you can shift-click the item and it will place it in chat as you want.
Unfortunately if you're talking about items you can't view, for example something you might want from a dungeon or a future quest, without the mod Atlas Loot you won't be able to link it into chat.
Just knowing what you want to link won't help unless you can view it there and then.
All this mod does is provide an easy way to lookup and browse through items, grouping them together in various ways to make the browsing easier. -- If people taste like bacon, doesn't it follow that bacon tastes like people? |

| reply to Alexoi All you should need to do is shift-click on any item shown in Atlas, but you must start typing in chat before you try to link the item.
For example I would do a /g (initiate guild chat), look up the item in Atlas and then shift-click the item I wanted to talk about. Once you're done, hit enter to finish the chat and you (along with anyone else you're talking with) will be able to left click on the item you linked.
World drops are in Atlas, I think they're called Bind on Equip (BOE) Epics or something similar.
One thing to remember is Atlas won't find an item if you do a search unless the spelling is absolutely perfect, and I think that means case sensitive too.
To test this out, click on your own portrait in WoW, do a /w (whisper) and try shift-clicking an item in Atlas. Hit enter and see if you can left click the link. -- If people taste like bacon, doesn't it follow that bacon tastes like people? |

| reply to Alexoi I use an addon called Linkerator.
Basically, I type out the item, inside [] and it will create the item link.
For example, if I type:
[Crimson Spinel]
It will create the item link in a clickable chat channel.
It will also start to best guess the item you are typing out. |
