pinging the switch from another switch I get an avg ms ping of around 5-10ms, with spikes to 40ms-80ms and a frequent request timed out intermittently.
pinging the switch from a port on the switch I get the same results but without the intermittent time outs-
I disconnected the switch from the network completely and get the same results.
Are these response times NORMAL for this switch?
Another oddity-
When plugging in a PoE phone on this switch it fails to boot, plugging the phone on a switch uplinked to it and it works fine.
All this has been tested on multiple ports- does anyone ahve one of these where they can ping it and post avg ms response times? My cisco and dell switches all hit less than 1ms.
All testing was done isolated, trying multiple ports, using different PC's as well. (the only thing plugged into switch was a single PC for testing, and when applicable, the uplink) |
