| Pre-BC Reputation
I think I was told (about 2 years ago) that if you got exalted with all cities there was some kind of reward for doing so (like unique mounts and titles).
Most of what I can see through my work's internet blocker suggests that 99% of Pre-BC rewards were junk, but if there are different mounts available I'd love to know about it. Obviously I know that if you get exalted with a particular city you can buy mounts there, but what I'm talking about is the possibility of mounts rare or unique to anything you're likely to see.
Getting exalted with every city is a bit of a grind, but it can be done without turning in a single piece of runecloth.
All you need to do is farm dead bodies in AV for their loot and turn it in to the relevant NPCs for your faction.
On the horde side you start off getting vast amounts of reputation for Orgrimmar, and about 1/5th of that for the others. After you reach 999/1000 exalted with Orgrimmar, you still get a bit for the others, and can easily grab up to 500 rep for all factions in a game. Think this would be Ironforge on the Alliance side, but I never bothered with my hunter.
The downside is you spend so much time turning stuff in, you lose out on the honor from kills.
Still if there is anything to be gained by doing this I'd like to know, otherwise when I get Exalted with UC I'll stop (this will make it as cheap a city to repair in as any of the others I'm likely to visit, especially when I get this rogue alt into the outlands). -- If people taste like bacon, doesn't it follow that bacon tastes like people? |

And yes, it's Ironforge for Alliance. -- When the ship lifts, all bills are paid. No regrets. |

| reply to MaybeTrouble I'm exalted with 5/5 cities on my warlock and 4/5 cities on my hunter (2000 rep away).
The EASIEST way to do this is to do all the quests in the starting zones. These quests are both insanely easy and give 250-500 rep per quest.
Once you have done all the quests, you should either be exalted or darn close to exalted. Then you have two options: AV or cloth turn ins.
Frankly I do the cloth turn ins because AV pisses me off. Just head over to Tyr's hand and farm some runecloth or simply do dailys and buy it on the AH.
You get 75 rep per 20x runecloth. In order to get to the runecloth part, you have to turn in wool, silk and mageweave, 60 of each.
Until achievements come out, there is no bonus for getting exalted with cities besides the discount and the mount. -- Whats smells like blue? |

| reply to MaybeTrouble When you get home, or perhaps someone will cut & paste the text here, try WoWiki. Any time I want to figure out the best ways to get Honored/Revered/Exalted with anything is by going there. WoWhead has some nice help too, but too often it's cluttered with trade channel type spam. -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |

| reply to MaybeTrouble Other than the other race mounts that you can get for being exalted, the only other mounts I know of that you can get due to rep status are the netherdrake, the flying stingrays, and if you are Alliance the frostsaber. -- Hanging with my Gnomies |
