Speed decrease

Has anyone elses internet gotten slower over the past 2 months? Mine seems to have decreased a lot; I'm having trouble streaming videos now.

Not really but I've notice my pings to Texas Servers has gone down the crapper. Run a speed test »speedtest.net and show us.

Have you tried power cycling your modem and/or router?

Who is your provider and what plan do you have with them?

My provider is Comcast, I'm located in Humble and I think I have the 8.0/1.5 plan. It's always been pretty fast, doing the Java speed test on this website on 6/20 I got 10,000 down 3 separate tests, one month later I'm getting under 1,000 down.

Here's a link to my most recent test..

Should this be fast enough for streaming video on Hulu or netflix in good quality? I was getting HQ on netflix and now it's only streaming basic video (really bad quality).

I'm in the Med Center in Houston. Have the 6Mb Comcast connection. Here is the speed test I just did.
Based on your test I'd sure be riding Comcast about getting that fixed.

KVS,

Did you get your problem fixed? That was a pretty significant decrease in throughput. If it is fixed what was the problem?
