| Service in Richmond Hill (Yonge & Bantry)?
I'm about to move into a basement apartment in Richmond Hill, just above Yonge & #7. It's not on Bantry, but rather the much older side of the street (west of Yonge), Scott Drive. The house was built, I believe, in the 50s--and while a previous tenant used Rogers for internet access, I don't know whether DSL would be available. Plugging the phone number into Teksavvy's site says that it is, but the disclaimer at the bottom of that page makes me think that I'd be a prime candidate for "no guarantee of service". What do you think?
And if service is available, does anyone have any idea what speed of service we can expect? I really don't want to have to go with Rogers if at all possible. |

| If your phone number qualifies than the only way to find out whether service is available, is to order the service. Once a tech comes out and activates the service on the line they will know whether your line qualifies for service or not and if it does not, than your at no loss. As per quality of service, maybe your neighbors who use DSL can help you out with that. |

@bell.ca | reply to LorVlannic Do we need a filter for every phone? Or just for the jack the modem will be splitting off of? |

| Where's a good place to get filters? I could possibly have swallowed Teksavvy's $6.99 each, but paying $10 for shipping isn't appealing to me considering that I'm not getting a modem. It looks like I need five of the suckers.
I presume Bell sells them. Any idea how much they cost? |

@teksavvy.com | reply to LorVlannic try going to a bellworld and asking for filters. these things cost almost nothing for bell and they may just give you them for free. |
