Firmware update for Linksys WRT54G

If I update my firmware should I have any problems afterwards connecting my computers(2 wireless and 1 hardwired) to the internet? Is there anything I need to do before I do the update? Will all of my settings be changed? Thanks in advance.

If your Wireless LAN is working fine, don't upgrade.

If you do upgrade, use the screens in the w-router to save a copy of the configuration settings into a file on your PC. If things go wrong, you can more easily restore the configuration using this.

And make sure you use the correct firmware the exact revision number of your w-router (v2, v4, v7 etc)

Thanks. My wireless with the computers is working fine. The reason I wanted to update the firmware is that I can't get my PS3 to connect wirelessly to my network. It seems like it is connected to the router, but when I try to connect to the internet it fails. So as long as I write down all of my settings for the router my computers should re-connect again with no problems?
