| I Can Ping Yahoo.com but.........
Hi:
I am having trouble connecting to the internet. I have a wireless setup and I can ping the router and the cable modem. I can also ping yahoo.com, but when I try to connect to the internet it wont hook up. This happens with IE and Safari. I have done a system restore and checked all my settings. I am using a Linksys USB connection. I have wired connectivity on another machine so I do have internet available. I reset the factory settings in IE 7 and it worked for a few minutes then back to nothing. I have run spyware removers and found a few things and removed them. I think it may be a virus....I downloaded an anti-virus program from download.com but everytime I try to install it I get a message saying there is another anti-virus program on my system. If there is I cant find it. Please help if you can and any questions you have I will try to answer quickly. Thanks in advance. |

Are you running a firewall? If so, is it enabled to allow web traffic (HTTP)?
