Bell service policy

I would like to ask a question about Bell's service policy. I currently have 3 services with Bell and I will soon have zero.

I have no contract with Bell for any of the services. I have been month to month for a long time.. too long..

I will be calling to cancel Bell internet in order to get the cancellation date. I believe that is 30 days notice.

How about the other two services?

home phone - plan on porting number out
satellite - plan on returning and keeping my alternate analogue cable service

Give 30 days notice for these too? If so, why?

Chris

that's what I like to hear, that's a good question when I cancel my phone they just disconnected it immediately it took a few call transfers but it was a matter of days before I got free from them. They disconnected my internet for abused of their weak network and still wanted me to give them 30 days notice... DUH Make sure you have all the cancellation info.
As for the satelite it's 30 days as well.

I read somewhere that home phone transfer can be arranged by your new provider. I believe they can effectively cancel from Bell and get the switch made without disruption in service. You should contact the new provider and ask them what the best way to do it is.

Bell likes to squeeze one last payment out of you for satellite after you cancel. In my case it was two months of payments before they credited me back.

You're right I remember now teksavvy did the change for me but I couldn't keep the same number.

@bell.ca
thanks for the responses,

i will give satellite 30 days notice

if Bell charges for one last month for internet and satellite, I would be worried about the same thing with home phone
