 Anti Virus Question

Im trying to load the AVG free software but it says I have another anti virus programmed installed. If I do have one I cant find it. Ive tried the add/remove programs and Ive done a search for antivirus, anti, virus and anti virus with no luck. Im using IE 7.0 with windows xp pro. Any questions you have to help me please ask!

Thanks

Ctrl+Alt+Delete>Task Manager and let's see what's running on your PC.

Try looking in the control panel > administrative tools > services and see if an AV, other than AVG is listed there.

Look in the registry to see if there are leftover entries from the previous AV there.

If you know the name of the previous AV search with it instead of just searching for anti-virus.

See if this tool will clean the registry, and then delete everything you found in the search.
