With the new gear changes and stat changes and the like in WotLK ... what do you see being the best AH price-grabbers now?
I sometimes try and sell the decent stat greens (nice + healing cloth/leather/etc., AGI or decent DPS weps, and things of the like. So long as it doesn't cost too much to AH I see if I can get at least 2 or 3 gold over the vendor buy price and the AH cost.
Some things sell, some don't but with spell dmg being reflected into healing, as it were, and AGI looking to be Enh Shamans new AP stat ...
I'd think that some things will sell for more and some for less the closer to the possible WotLK release. Opinions? -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |

| reply to ErikVKing if you want to make some serious gold, buy all the lower level herbs you can find. when WotLK comes out, people are gonna need/want to powerlevel the new profession of Inscription. fyi: for those that dont know, herbs are gonna be used for making ink for said profession. -- I have come to realize that God doesn't want to hear from me anymore. |

| reply to ErikVKing Yeah I agree on the Herbs. I'm thinking the spell dmg plate and some stam perhaps. Thing is, WotLK will likely be like TBC wherein you get rid of gear fast via quests. I have about 50 pieces of greens to DE, but I'm just wierd I guess: I prefer to see them used rather than made into dust . -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |

| reply to ErikVKing I already started buying cheap 20 stacks of herbs during the week days. I'd forget about gear until we have a better understanding of when players can go to Northrend and exactly what a DK will need for gear stats. This will be my first time dealing with herb trading so I'm not familiar with it. I already purchased a load of silverleaf, goldthorn, and liferoot. What are other beginning herbs I should look for? |

Actually, unless Blizz changes their minds signifcantly, this will NOT be true for anyone geared past Kara. I know people in the Alpha that scarcely changed anything on their toons before the alpha closed.
Remember, BC did a MAJOR re-set, primarily of stamina. That is not supposed to happen with WotLK. IF you are in greens and quest blues, however, you certainly will be replacing your stuff fast in WotLK, but it will be harder for you to level (of course) than it will be for those that are epic-geared coming in. |

The only ones that I have seen confirmed are silverleaf and peacebloom, although I have farmed up several stacks of those and liferoot (nodes in same area) in anticipation of WotLK. |

| reply to ErikVKing Pretty much anything that levels each profession, particularly those for the cheapest patterns.
Then you have the mats that will be needed for the new stuff, people will want to make their cool new toys.
If you're a gatherer, major patches and expansions are your key to a lot of gold. -- If people taste like bacon, doesn't it follow that bacon tastes like people? |

| reply to ErikVKing Ya know, I just thought of something else... I know pre-JC, when I was gathering all of the mats I could to PL it on my Warrior, I was also going to all of the vendors that I could find that had the rare pattern only available from that or one/two other vendors in the game. I'd buy them up, even buying 2 or 3 by camping the Warrior or another alt there, and then re-sell the pattern on the AH on the spot, or hold onto a few of them when BC came out. By the rare items, I mean the ones on the back "page" of their wares, that have a (1) next to them.
Are there any BoE pattern (or whatever name Inscription will use) on any vendors now? That'd be a hot commodity to start gathering right now if so!
Also, I may start gathering mats for any and all Professions, because I know there will be others like me that will want to start Profs other than Inscription with their new DK. Now to figure out what server I want to start on and what name I want my new DK to be so I can reserve it by starting an alt with that name .
EDIT: Doh, Maybe just posted almost this same thing, lol. -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |
