[Vista] Windows Complete PC Backup

I just finished using the Windows Complete PC Backup feature in Vista Ultimate, and the backup image was placed on a Maxtor USB external drive.

In an emergency, what is the best procedure to follow in order to repair my system using these backup files?

TIA!

I think that would be covered in the HELP files or user guide to the WCPCBU.
It would seem odd that they never tell you how to restore your PC from these files.

Please see the screen shot above of the help menu on the subject. Perhaps I should have underlined the word "best" in my original posting. There are a number of posters that frequent this site on a regular basis who might have suggestions regarding my question. Some also might have experiences (both pro and con) regarding the native MS backup program in Vista Ultimate and suggest avoiding it entirely while recommending another program entirely.

For example: the external USB drive came with a Maxtor backup application called "Safety Drill".

Thanks, bcastner! I'm going to print out the article at the link provided for possible future use.

As always, you are a source of outstanding and reliable information!
