1 edit | 2 Modems
I am getting the triple play for the house. and I also want to get a business line in addition to this.
My question is, Can I run two modems?
Residential service for my Laptop and such..
and my Business service for my servers?
Will I loose any speed sharing the coax coming into my house?
Thanks, |

| reply to jeffb666 Most areas should be able to provision two modems, as long as you're aware that you'll be paying full rate for two connections - one business, and one residential. Having two connections on one wire won't affect the speed of either one in and of itself, except insofar as the bandwidth is all pooled at the node anyway. |

| reply to jeffb666 If your signal levels are okay using a quality splitter, you won't have a problem running two modems (with two accounts, obviously). One won't impact the other (unless it's at a regional level, saturated area and so on). -- Interested in open source engine management for your Subaru? |

I thought it wasn't a problem but I wanted to be sure.
Can anyone who is running Business 16/2 tell me what kind of traffic they are getting on there servers?
Most sites I host aren't that big but I have one vBulletin site which does get a lot of traffic. Just curious if anyone with a constant load has any ill effects?
Thanks,
