no dudes allowed |
Hello:
I have a cute pic of my mom and my son, except there's this dude lurking in the background. I have Photoshop CS3 at work, but I'm not very skilled in the craft. I figured the clone stamp tool to paint over him with vegetation would be too clumsy. Cropping him out would be quick, but not ideal for the subjects.
Feel free to take a crack at it, and/or share how you might improve on this pic! Thanks! -- Scott Bournes iPhones are not insured for acts of God; God is insured for acts of Scott Bourne. |

| Some judicious cropping and a lot of cloning, plus some clarify, curves, etc.

| reply to rjackal Know what's creepy...? Just how easy it is to make someone seem to disappear from a photo unless you have a great eye and/or the equipment to look closer and see little flaws!
No offense to the amazing things that people do here, but think if what could be done with the best-of-the-best equipment out there when you guys n gals can do this with a basic or even a pro Photoshop program... Skeery!

Zap. He's gone. I like the idea of cropping too but didn't do it. |

Another option is to add some color. |

I really like the second one the best out of all the revisions so far, the color makes the happy day seem even brighter. -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |

| reply to TheHarvester WOW, Harvester, where the heck did you get that tree from?! That is pretty sweet, I like how it breaks up the green-ness of the original. -- Scott Bournes iPhones are not insured for acts of God; God is insured for acts of Scott Bourne. |

Google images narrowed down to extra large images. I just scrolled through page after page and tried a few until I found one that worked good to cover up "the Dude" and still blend in as well as look good, to me at least. |
