| Thanks D ... I like AnydvdHD also but like DVDFab a little better. I just assumed it handled BD. Guess I should have read closer. Oh well ... AnydvdHD works. Just got a upgrade offer for PDv8 Ultra for 50.00. Might have to take advantage of that. -- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simple to serve as a warning to others. |

| Really, an upgrade offer for PowerDVD8 for only $50. How does that happen if you dont mind my asking?
I recently received an upgrade offer for Arcsoft TotalMedia Extreme (with TotalMedia Theater BD / HD) full retail version for $39.99. This was due to my registering the OEM version of the software that came with my Hauppauge HD PVR. The OEM version is fairly truncated. |

|
Octavean Premium,MVM join:2001-03-31 New York, NY | I see, I thought the upgrade price to PowerDVD Ultra 7 was a bit higher. I only have the OEM version of PowerDVD Ultra 7. Ill probably just wait until they start bundling OEM version 8 with Blu-ray drives then. |

| Just for FYI I downloaded ATT. This software runs a lot smoother then PDv8. Also runs from the BDMV folder like PD used to do. Oh well I've already spent the coin for PD so I guess I'll stick with it. -- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simple to serve as a warning to others. |

| Sweet program. I used vmcd to set the video decoder to arcsoft. Linked the ripped BD (Fools Gold) in Movie Collector and launch the ripped BD located on WHS from within VMC. Played fine. After this tried playing a SD dvd and it didn't work so I switched the video codec to Powerdvd v8 BD&HD and both BD and SD ripped dvd's play from within VMC. Weird. -- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simple to serve as a warning to others. |

| reply to Kanebrake I still didnt pull the trigger on that Arcsoft TotalMedia Extreme (with TotalMedia Theater) upgrade yet. Ive also been considering a BeyondTV upgrade to 4.8.2 from 3.7SE for $49.99 for the Hauppauge HD PVR. I got the BTV SE license from an old TV tuner purchase.
I have to cancel an order for a HAVA Wireless HD (no real HD support go figure) and maybe buy another Silicondust HDHomeRun and then Ill start buying the software.
Reasonable upgrade prices IMO unlike Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra. |

| I went ahead and grabed this one. After watching ArcSoft and then switching back to PD8. I believe PDvd picture quality is a little better. IMHO. -- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simple to serve as a warning to others. |

download DVDFab HD Decrypter DVDFab HD Decrypter 5.0.7.5 (July 29, 2008)
DVDFab HD Decrypter is a simple version of DVDFab Platinum. It copies entire DVD movie to hard disk, and removes all the protections (CSS, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs and Sony ARccOS) while copying. It also comes with full HD-DVD and Blu-Ray support (Removes AACS). Are they just doing a worse job of it, or did they actually remote Blu-Ray support?

| 8.62MB/sec :-) |
When you run DVDFab(either) and insert a Blu-ray, it does nothing, just asks for you to insert a disc.
Cannot see the BD. That is, here on two Sony VAIO laptops with BD drives.
EDIT: AnyDVD HD rips at the drives max speed. -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

| Uhm... never looked. Probably BDs used to rip fine about 1 1/2 years ago - XP. Updated and no more. Keep on updating hoping that it will see the discs again.
Has never worked on this Vista machine.
Just a Heads Up - Blindwrite will copy BDs too! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |
