Even though there are established standards quoted by CC, there are no definite figures to be given here because some makes/models of modems are much more tolerant of marginal or out of spec signal figures than are others.

I have found that the 5100 is one of the most forgiving modems out there.

At one time, while behind my 5100, my Downstream Power Level was +22dB. Way out of spec by Comcast's published standards, yet it never had a hiccup in the 2 years I had this condition.

At one point, Cox HSI was sending +23 dBmv downstream power to my Motorola SB5120, and everything worked fine.
