Good point with the raid. I will test the system with the mobo raid and if it is too slow I will go for a card, but I have no idea what card to get.

One suggestion though, if you plan to go RAID 5 you may want to look into true hardware raid. I have always used XP Pro and this will be my first Visa System. I still plan to dual boot Vista/XP anyway, at least for my old printer and scanner that do not have Vista drivers.
