| Yup ... Reset and running fine ...
Tech said the modem wasn't "registered" and they reloaded
the speed and such in there... I am running lowest level IP phone also.
Speed tesats vary from 6.0 Mbs to 25 Mbps within minutes of each other to the same sites. |

Swapping my Thomson/RCA modem for a new Arris solved my speed issues.The old modem had good diagnostics,but couldn't handle the 20.0 package.That modem couldn't be updated,firmware wise. |

Check your modem diagnostics to see if power and signal levels are acceptable.
Boot your PC in safe mode and confirm speeds are still bad.
Check any splitters you may have and test your speeds bypassing these.
Have Insight confirm your local "card" has an acceptable number of modems.
If the above steps are fruitless,then a simple fix to try would be a new/different modem.Have Insight bring you out a new one to try. |

Well, I assume they tested everything outside the house.
I never recieved the call from them that we had arranged.

I had to make a call to Insight this evening and it looks like a 20.0 blade in my area of Lex has horrible SNR and they have taken me off of it until the issue is resolved. (downgraded me to 10.0 , they tried to get my account to switch to another 20.0 blade but it didnt happen) So if anyone is on 20.0 and is having difficulties with your connection call them and tell them to check for this specific problem. |
