Any new TLD is *stupid*. There's no need for them and they are just ways for some random company to try to cash in on all the trademark holders who have to now buy that new TLD version of their domain.
No, .me will not become as big as .com/.net
Domain names and TLDs will become obsolete before any new TLD makes any serious challenge to the original top three.
