Smith6612 posted : The people at the Verizon Online forums were seeing the same problems with not getting onto the Pirate Bay. Lately they've been on and off even though I don't visit the site (I don't use P2P apps anyways. Only in the rare case where a new release of Fedora core comes out and it's a 4GB file and the download servers are choaking, that's when I torrent). Most likely, they are either having DNS problems with their server which appears to be the issue, or they are under a DDoS. Right now on my Verizon DSL connection, The Pirate Bay is loading right up instantly.

The Verizon Online topic can be found here: »RE: thepiratebay.org seems to be down?
