Read my post above.. doesn't sound much like Comcast was ignoring these areas. In fact, it sounds like the opposite was happening. Incumbent providers will do almost anything it takes to maintain their -opoly, short of actually competing in a free market. I guess PACs aren't the only thing politicians and communications companies have in common.

To quibble about the minuscule portion of government funds that actually go into these projects is like complaining about spit in the ocean.
