| Well what did you expect The IOC saw BIG dollar signs when they gave the Olympics to china (notice the little n). The amount of money the networks are paying along with sponsors like GE, etc was the driving force behind the decision. The chines say "yeah yeah yeah" in the talks but when the time comes, it's their country and they can do what they want. And who can stop them?
The bottom line is the IOC %#&^d up. When they were all sitting there in their managers meeting saying "yeah yeah yeah" someone should have stood up and said "it sounds too good to be true).
