| Absolutely Unbelievable
I, like I see another, downloaded a Linux DVD (Knoppix) at 4.1G two days ago. With that one item, I am done for the month? If one were to have a VoIP service like Vonage and used talked about 1400 minutes, you would use about 1G. Looking at my monthly bill, that is how many overall minutes are used now.
This has got to be the lowest cap of any provider to date. I got an auto-renewal on my service on the last bill that was $20 higher and now this.
I can say that I don't think that I'm a abuser of service, but according to Frontier I have gone over the limit by 600% this month at about 33GB. Having to login to work over the VPN from home uses quite a bit. Most of those emails are in the MBs, not KBs.
Their email estimate is way off since today most people are using HTML email. The estimate would be 10K per email. Looking in my mailbox, very few are that small today. That would be without any attachments of pictures or otherwise. Frontier will even help with this by sending out the Yahoo powered home page over 6 times to me. It is almost like spam and I wonder how much bandwidth that used.
If Frontier does not reconsider their ridiculous very low cap, I for one will be switching quickly. I have been a loyal customer for 6 years and very happy with their service. Being that my bill is up more than $20 and then they will most likely want me to have a Business account, I will have to look for an alternative. |
