Just called Frontier...

and got an 'all circuits busy' message. Not sure if it's a local problem or nationwide... but seems they are getting their response!

Did you try calling several times? Sometimes when calling my relative on New Year's or Christmas on my Verizon line I'll get that when I call their Frontier line once but then it'll connect, even though my Remote Terminal still has plenty of circuits left. If it doesn't connect, I try their cell phones. Try it again and see if it goes.

I just finished calling and the customer rep didn't even know anything about the cap. She spoke to a tech guy and HE said that as of right now they are not monitoring people's usage and are trying to get a higher cap set, especially since one of the services they offer takes up more than 5 gigs. I was concerned since the 5 gig cap is in the TOS that by NOT saying something about it means that I agree to the changes. If and when they do start monitoring and limiting I will be looking at our local cable company for internet services.

That's right, they are shooting ESPN360 in the foot with this. You could burn through that 5GB pretty fast with that.

ESPN360 loves bandwidth. Even though it really only needs a sustained 2Mbps internet connection to play everything solid, that's 230KB/s you're pulling and that will burn things up quickly. My 768k Verizon line can handle the 5 off to the side streams and the video stream, but it basically chokes on the videos since a slight jitter of the connection will cause one or two of the side videos to stop playing.
