 | Last name or email address? quote: he was informed by the company that they couldn't complete the order because his last name contained an expletive
quote: As a general rule (since 2005) Verizon doesn't allow questionable language in e-mail addresses, but we can, and do, make exceptions based on reasonable requests.
It sounds like the information cited clearly says the issue was with putting his last name in the email address and not with his last name being used in a last name field. So he still was able to use his last name to order service, just not as an email address. Frustrating yes, but if Verizon doesn't allow the creation of the address are they going to filter out his mail? It would seem a risk to use an email any random filter Verizon has could block. |
