same thing in the south loop. Service went down around midnight. Restarted DSL modem and can't login. Looking at the logs for the 5100 reveals an auth failure (peer) error. |

MAJOR OUTAGE
I've got over 50 connections across mid chitown out to aurora down. Everything from DsL to our 1Gb pipe into our datacenter. Someone is going to fry for this! |

Out in Bolingbrook too. I'm connecting to DSL just not pulling an IP. I tried calling in but it just goes dead for about 2 minutes then connects me to some office that's closed for the night.

I am out in Springfield been out since midnight, called customer service, figured something must be up considering i was on hold for half an hour at this hour. I gave up and am posting via cell. Glad this community is here at these times. |

Out in Plainfield/Joliet. It started as a DNS issue. But now, it appears to be the ppp access concentrators in Elmhurst, IL. |

Some parts of the Manhattan, IL Central Office connect through Elmhurst and other parts connect through Chicago. At least that's how it was before the upgrades last Spring. |

Re: No service on the West Loop at midnight 8/1/08 Happened to me too. Connection died right at midnight. After a reset or 2 then checking the modem it seems the PPPoE Auth. server wasn't answering. But as of 1:30 it back up again(hence my post). Thankfully was only out for 90 mins. Shesh was going thru internet withdrawal.
