Hmm, Verizon or Comcast?

So, would you rather have a Comcast tech falling asleep in your home, or a Verizon rep fapping in the bushes? THIS is what people should base their broadband selection on.

I'll take a sleeping tech over the jerk off guy but I'll take the jerk off guy over Comcast's double murderer or house bomber.

I know you are being sarcastic but I will take sleeping Comcast on my couch any day over happy wanker Verizon.

I do not know, The wanker really would not bother you, he was in the bushes outside.

Sleeping in my living room, actually being in my home, that presents a whole other "threat level".

I cannot believe this stuff happens. I install my own DirecTV, upgrades and all. I installed my own fiber to my home. But really, I had the resources to do it, most do not and have to rely on these people.

I would say screening would be an answer but it is not, it would probably not have helped in this situation, even the murderer.

Not much you can do. It would be nice to get to the point of phone guy stops at the demarc and never enters the home. Same with satellite, cable, and internet. But that may be a while. That is the only way, just keep them out of your house.

There are bad apples that are in the news everyday that work for one company or another that do something stupid. Most of these people don't have prior records. For example, my sister got a new apartment and the maintenance person has been fixing a couple things. For a week she has been talking to him....considers him a nice enough guy.

Well, last night he stabbed his boss 4 times and is in county jail on a count of attempted murder. She just never expected it.

Whenever I read one of these news stories about some comcast tech sleeping at someone's house or a Verizon guy jerking off in the bushes, I just laugh about it. Mainly because its someone who works in the broadband world. If a story were to be put on the front page everytime someone who worked at a company did something perverted, slacking off, or funny, there wouldn't be enough time in the day to reply to each thread.

Uh, which would you rather have?

Someone jerking off in your bushes, or some moron who kills people or bombs houses? It has nothing to do with being an apologist. Its just the lesser of 3 evils.

Over a murderer and a guy who'll blow up my house...sure. If you'd rather have the jerk off guy over a murderer that's your prerogative.

I disagree. The best answer to these problems is to (ducks head to avoid flak) HIRE UNION EMPLOYEES, NOT OUTSOURCE TO A CONTRACTOR! Do I really need to list all the reasons why? I didn't think so. Here's hoping that, if necessary, Verizon and Qwest employees have enough stomach to handle a strike. GO CWA/IBEW!!!

you can't say union employees wouldn't do the same thing? hell some would cause they know VZ couldnt fire them. I took a tour at UPS just for the hell of it. they're union...they actually told everyone during the tour that if you stayed after your 30days that UPS couldnt fire you or even lay you off. What in the hell kind of place is that? I'm sure those unions say the same thing to employees.

And there is nobody that will be part of the union and only be payed based on sales. no effin way.

Get the damn unions out and go VZ!

What they did not tell you was the fact that they will watch you like a hawk and if someone (a co-worker) complains they will watch your every move. I know UPS drivers that have been with the company over 20 years without an accident but as soon as they have one (no matter how big) they are usually fired on the spot or asked to report back to the dock and then fired. They then get an appeal which most win and are back on the streets. After they win the appeal, they are followed and every move they make is logged. Screw up once and you can appeal and keep your job. Screw up twice then you can most likely kiss the job goodbye.
Heck, I think Domino's Pizza drivers have a one strike and you are out rule.
Not sure if the pizza drivers are union though but if not then give it time.

I myself think things would be better off without unions. Most of them nowadays are small and do not offer much benefit to the member but they do take his/her money!

Some of the bigger unions like IBEW 1 are OK as they offer training like other primary unions. It is the small unions that are not worth a crap in my book.
They seem to exist just to take your money for nothing in return.

How about a guy who jerks off, murders the lady and then blows the house up while doing the install for the dead lady, whose clothes he has put on and become said lady in a Norman Bates fantasy?

Edit-Picture of techs mother found in house, news at 11!

This seems to be a first for salesmen though... But the installers are a whole different thing... I have seen, heard and terminated installers for all sorts of crazy things that you could imagine if you were creative enough... Never something like that though... You hear on the news about the sicko neighbor doing shit like that though all the time... I guess anything is possible given the right situation...
