Need a new DVD burner,

I hear Samsung is very good & I'm looking at these 2 dvd burners, which one would be better? Also any other suggestions.

I always buy Pioneer DVDRW Drives.

Too me they are the best.

I've always used Lite-On DVD burners and they have always worked very well for me.

In my experience, the Plextor PX-760A (I believe this is no longer made, and it is the last of the "real" Plextors) is excellent.

I have a Slot Load plextor forget the exact model (im currently at work) but I have had it for a few years now and it just started acting up.

Taking an hour or more to burn a DVD. Looks like it will use up the buffer faster then it can fill the buffer up again. Also it wont burn faster then 1x. I have tried doing a firmware upgrade, even a reinstall of windows but it looks like its almost dead.

I ended up ordering this burner, but for a few dollars cheaper,

I had a couple of external SCSI Plextors. Those things were built like a tank!

My most recent DVD burner is a 20X Samsung LightScribe unit (SH-S202N). It's burned everything I've thrown in it (CD-R(W), DVD+/-R(W) without issue...

[EDIT] I see the OP ordered the SATA 20X Samsung... You won't be sorry!

haha I hope so, seems to be pretty good. I was thinking of getting another Plextor since I like them a lot but for the price of the plextor (under $40cnd for me) I cant go wrong if it dies in a year or 2.
