Taking an hour or more to burn a DVD. Looks like it will use up the buffer faster then it can fill the buffer up again. Also it wont burn faster then 1x. I have tried doing a firmware upgrade, even a reinstall of windows but it looks like its almost dead.
I ended up ordering this burner, but for a few dollars cheaper, »www.ncix.com/products/index.php?···=Samsung -- Computer: Intel Quad Core, 2gb OCZ DDr3, EvGA 8800GTS 512mb, 2x Plextor Burners, Corsair 620psu, Antec 900Case, 5mb DSL from teksavvy

My most recent DVD burner is a 20X Samsung LightScribe unit (SH-S202N). It's burned everything I've thrown in it (CD-R(W), DVD+/-R(W) without issue...
[EDIT] I see the OP ordered the SATA 20X Samsung... You won't be sorry! -- N.Y. Giants - Super Bowl XLII Champions |

I was thinking of getting another Plextor since I like them a lot but for the price of the plextor (under $40cnd for me) I cant go wrong if it dies in a year or 2. -- Computer: Intel Quad Core, 2gb OCZ DDr3, EvGA 8800GTS 512mb, 2x Plextor Burners, Corsair 620psu, Antec 900Case, 5mb DSL from teksavvy
