Just like VOD and SDV, the network DVR would be delivered over a QAM channel to the cable box. It would not touch the CMTS network.
I thought about that after i posted but you never know what could be done in the future.

Actually, you are correct. IPTV isn't just for telco providers. Comcast has been talking about an IPTV model for quite some time now. DOCSIS 3.0 IS going to change some of the way video is delivered. However, node health is going to have to improve LONG before they can offer it. In MY opinion, they're going to have to push fiber close to the home,.. at least to the curb which is going to be my guess.
