said by sgarrand :Sync took 2 minutes with 2.0.1.. 35+ mins before it. That's one improvement I'm seeing so far. Nice to know it's working for someone. I can't even get it installed yet as I'm on hour 8 (!) of my iPhone's "backup". Sure hope one of the bug fixes is for this goddamn problem. | reply to nickelman I hit the "install" button at some point last night.. I just checked: the backup is still in progress. Ridiculous. Granted, I do have what has come to feel like a metric ton of apps installed, but still. HOURS? Anyway, the backup's still going but at least the progress bar is almost full... -- I r a lolcat. |

Edit: My fast response was a bit fast as some have the update. Hm, then it's Apple's servers "again" that are acting funny. Who would have thought? |

| reply to nickelman Installed on my Touch. One nice thing is that I did not have to re-sync since I am not at my computer that has my iTunes library.
Another thing it seemed to fix was a "phantom" app I had downloaded. I went to download the Cube Runner update, and by mistake tried updating twice. So it was trying to install the app twice. Once it was updated, it only showed one button. I have two full pages of icons on my Touch, but I could flip to the third page which showed nothing. When I came out of an app. the Cube Runner icon would show on the third page briefly then dissappear. Now thankfully that is fixed. -- "A religious war is like children fighting over who has the strongest imaginary friend."

| reply to nickelman It seems like almost everyone has backups that are taking hours to complete, looking at this forum, as well as macRumors. What's interesting is that my backups have never taken more than 2-3 minutes, and I have ~100 contacts, 100s of emails, 100s of calendar items, and about 15 applications.
