Hey be glad all you're missing is the BTN. DISH just removed WOI (Channel 5 ABC) due to WOI demanding too much money. So now I'm without ABC which has ALOT of shows the wife and I watch. I'm far from happy!

Same thing happened to WHBF (CBS) in the Quad Cities, by the same station owner also.

Yep. It was a few stations actually. I'm quite ticked. DISH could at least put up an ABC feed from somewhere else couldn't they? While we wait for WOI, etc. to wake up.

Stations that were removed are:WOI-TV Des Moines Iowa; ABC affiliate KCAU-TV Sioux City, Iowa; ABC affiliate KLKN-TV Lincoln, Neb.; and CBS affiliate WHBF-TV in the Quad Cities

Nope.

Stupid regulations. The company, Citadel Communications I think, has the transmission rights to ABC in those areas. That's why Mediacom could not feed FOX in Des Moines, IA from somewhere else because Sinclair had the exclusive rights in the area.

A lot of people switched and Mediacom was forced to pay more money. Sinclair started it and now all of them will follow. Get ready to pay a lot more for otherwise free programming. I guess that's the price of convenience...
