| [WCG] Do Timid and Dersgniw a Favor?
Hi all!!!!
A secret little friend of mine (Timid) and I usually visit Team Discovery's recruitment thread at WCG each evening to try keeping us toward the top where the best belong. Dersgniw  visits frequently --- mostly to referee between Timid 'n me. Well I hate it when Brian has to talk to himself because Timid 'n I are distracted or not paying attention.
Timid and I will not be around much for about a week starting Friday. One of us is going to let a nice young man play doctor with our knee early next week and that will likely keep us from the keyboard for a few days.
I'm sure you have all heard stories about highly-trained, well-conditioned athletes tearing the meniscus - usually by planting a foot to turn/spin at full speed - and having to have it surgically repaired.
Well, when you are a well seasoned and moderately large elder-type you can suffer the same sort of injury by simply stepping onto a curb as you turn after crossing the street. Well, so's I understand anyhow. 
Anyhow, I usually stay away from the keyboard when I'm on giggle pills and I don't dare let Timid go over there by himself.... too many temptations for him.
So, any of you who has a few minutes in the evening next week might want to swing by and add your thoughts to the thread to help keep it boosted toward the top.
If you see me there a couple of nights in a row, I will probably be off the giggle pills and have found a way to maneuver myself to the keyboard so Timid 'n I can resume our nightly follies.
No vegetable-consumption required.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by the last week or so. Glancing through the posts, it really looks neat!
We let the nice young man play doctor with my knee as mentioned. And, the nice young ladies played nurse by doing a little shaving and they even wrote on the legs so the doc wouldn't get cornfused and mess with the wrong one.
Strange part is that before the surgery I could get around okay...it hurt some...it was a bit swollen and occasionally it would just buckle for no reaon.
Now that he has been in to fix things, it is major swollen and very stiff and my leg feels like the whole danged UFC used me for leg-kick practice. Stand-up straight 'n it buckles...sit down and it buckles just over half way down...walk down the hall and it buckles but doesn't warn you before it happens so you can enjoy the joke with everyone else. 
I'm not complaining though.
Heck, I'm even sharing the inconvenience with little Timid.
Doc gave me some way kewl drugs and said I shouldn't drive while I was taking them and that I should stay away from alcohol because they intensify the drug or vice-versa. Well, I haven't driven for over a week and stuff in the little green bottles will indeed intensify the action of the pain pills...heck, they work great now!
Ol' timid still wants to get in on the action. I think I'll let him do the physical therapy and eat my veggies for a while. Need to save room for that intensification business

| Sorry to hear of your post surgery difficulties, Mike. :/ Unfortunately, from what I've heard from friends who have gone through knee surgery, healing takes lots of time and patience. Using a cane will help in the support end and if absolutely needed, there's always an epidural to alleviate pain.
Wishing you a short recovery and sending lots of healing mojo your way.
