Easy to see where they'll deploy....

Anywhere FIOS or UVerse is.

So... Fort Worth hopefully?

Although Charter offers 16mb here, I've stuck with 6mb DSL because Charter's reliability is laughable. Maybe DOCSIS3 will improve it...

FIOS I can see that.

U-Verse? U-Verse is a joke. Charter's current offerings beat U-Verse.

The only exception I might see to that is the extremely limited U-Verse FTTP deployments, but since AT&T has deliberately chosen not to even take advantage of their FTTP deployments I don't see that as a threat. Only 6/1 on FTTP? It's ridiculous, but it's that AT&T is doing.

It's also why I won't buy anything from AT&T, except landline of course.

Yeah, but why let them maybe steal subs when you can clobber them... nip them in the bud, so to speak.

I'm betting you'll see this only in areas where the cometition is either 1) Deploying advanced services or 2) Threatening to deploy said services.

Everywhere else will have to wait... a long, LONG time.

Naturally. the haves always get the cream while the havenots get the sludge.
I doubt uverse areas will be included as charter already offers what the top uverse tier is[10mbit]

I live and work in Yakima (some where in the middle of Washington state) with no fios, or u-verse. We are probably going to have the docsis 3.0 proably in the 1st half of next year.

Just a FYI, you can get 10/1.5 with AT&T now. I don't know what its like where you are, but U-Verse beats everything that Charter has in my area. The best speed we can get here is 5Mbps and that is if your lucky...

I looked up Raymore, it appears to be a suburb to Kansas City. Where I live is a suburb to St. Louis.

So Charter doesn't deliver the speed they advertise over there? That's too bad. I've always gotten the speed advertised, and even a little more.

Granted, I was (and still am) on a very low speed business tier. I just put in an order for a 10/1 business tier. Hopefully I'll actually get 10/1, especially since business service is more expensive. At least with it I get static IP and CSRs that actually know something. For the price I'm paying I deserve at least 95% of the Kbps I'm supposed to get.

I'd consider U-Verse business, except:

- AT&T has done stuff I don't like.
- You currently can't get Static IP even with U-Verse Business.
- U-Verse isn't even available exactly where I live.

I was also talking about TV offerings. I could be wrong but I think that with Charter or with DirecTV you can get more HD channels.

Probably not... although AT&T is being aggressive with U-Verse.... so that may come and prompt them. However, at&t is already increasing prices... /sigh
