Olympic Mosaic on Comcast Central (Select Markets)

SCREENCAP1

SCREENCAP2

Beginning Friday, August 8, 2008, Comcast will offer a 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games mosaic page as a part of the Comcast Central channel lineup that will run throughout the games.

Customers will be able to navigate through various video windows and hear associated audio and then tune to the channel or Olympic Video On Demand folder by using their remote.

There will be East and West versions of the mosaic page that will replace the existing Sports page on Channel # 963 in all Comcast Central markets.

After the Olympics are over, the page will transition back to the traditional Sports page.

This is actually pretty neat. Now all I have to do is remember to tune in and check it out!

yeah, this looks very nice actually. regular comcast central doesn't serve much of a purpose (to me), but it will be a good way to keep track of all the olympic stuff going on that could easily be missed.

Looks pretty cool. Too bad my area doesn't even have Comcast Central.

I noticed last night the Olympics Mosaic ia up and running here in Philly(ch. 963). They should make the Sports Page more like this with info and maybe more scores running all day.

up here too. It's nice, the one thing I don't like though is if you see something on say, USA channel, clicking it takes you to the SD channel, not the HD.

Looking forward to the future of things.

I'm actually finding myself USING this feature.

Thanks Comcast, that's pretty innovative!

However, there should be a setting somewhere to make it take you to the HD channel (if available). It should be a per box setting, so if I'm in the bedroom, the DCT-700 won't take me to a black screen.
