said by nanook :Also beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Evidently OTPP sees something beautiful in Bell. After all they have placed a $35B bet on that beaverpig. Don't you believe it. OTPP wanted the beaver Bell for the pelt. |

| reply to nanook said by nanook :It just occurred to me that it could also be a reference to "la Bell(e) province." Quebec's always getting the short end of the stick. Confederation, then a takeover by Bell? Maybe it's time they make good on what it says on their license plates. :-D |

| reply to nanook said by nanook :LG's slogan in French is "LG est merveilleux." The word "belle" in French means beautiful, while "merveilleux" means wonderful. Wouldn't "merveilleux" translate into "marvelous"? Or does translation in french not work that way, just to screw with us anglophones? :P |

| reply to Gokuu From P2PNET.NET: "The whole thing is run like a joke. There is no acocuntability. A rep could upgrade you to the highest tier without even talking to you in order to get his commsion, and you would NOT be able to get out of the charges. If the rep put in notes how its meant to look, your paying up."
Wow! There have been some posts in the forums with complaints similar to what this former employee is saying. To hear it from a former employee adds weight to those complaints. Can you say F R A U D! |

| Ex-Bell employee here, left quite a few years ago... I was a coach, had a trainee under me that was placing sales on every call, had to fire him... I approached my manager at the time to ask how to go about it, the "Q" was a little busy, so the manager decided to leave him on the phone and told me to track his calls... he took a total of over 25 calls in a few hours, all of them with sales placed on the client's account... How's that for bad, the guy ended up being fired at the end of the day but bell management decided to leave him on the phones until the "service level" went down... meantime 25 client's got screwed with "added services"... There's plenty of fraud there... he was doing it for about 2 weeks every day before he got caught...at average of 100 calls or more per day, do the math...
I got many many more stories... ! hehe!
But what the guy wrote is 100% truth...at the time I was there, every employee had an express incentive card... they would have cash bonuses put in for sales made every month... many employees I recall having average of 150$ deposited every month... Out of that, depending on the bonus (2$-10$ depending on the sale) it can translate to 25 clients average of sales or more... how many of those getting screwed? |

1 edit | reply to Gokuu WELL audio tape your phone calls , i had the above happen to me and i fought to get things righted, and I WIN. (in st ten days of november 07 - dropped a 160gb went back to net dled 84GB of lost data. Then bell changed account to a 7 megabit 60 GB capped account and refused as i said to HONER the CONTRACT. This is also a classic case of 'misrepresentation' which is a class actionable in ontario.
And i will be doing an interview with a law student at cippic the clinic that Michael Geist runs.
Also the last thing bell did to me got them a CRTC complaint that was rectified with days of the complaint.
Do not think that because bell rights (we can screw you in this contract in so many ways) that in fact said contract would be even valid in a court of law. If it were found to be too lop sided it could be invalidated.
Note this example: you cancel your bell phone: they charge you 4 deactivation style fees totalling almost 200$. If they cancel it..."we are not honoring your contract period" They get no such charges. That is a perfect example of unfairness in a contract. If bell or other ISPS had to also pay the users for dishonoring contracts they'd be a ton lot more nice, and it would make it harder for them to break a contract, so they would only offer what they can. |
