Yeah I noticed the Cell Phone Carriers release worse plans every year following and grandfather the good plans. I've been with Fido for a while so I remember City Fido should of signed up, I remember the cheaper Unlimited Incoming options, I remember the Fido-Fido option having more daytime minutes.

The only competition I see is the gradual race to offer the least for the most. Also the trend seems to be tarnishing your in house brand, but retaining you with there other brand. Rogers overall generally in my opinion sucks, but surprisingly with Fido it's a bit better. Bells plans suck compared to Virgin and Solo, Telus' plans are horrible compared to Koodo.

When I was in the iWant iPhone phase I called up Fido and they wanted me to pay $110 "Network Administration" just so I can pay another $249 to re-sign a 3Year contract, wtf do I look stupid no way in hell am I paying $110 to thin air not even getting anything back for that. (Mind you I had a little over 14 months left before my 3Year contract was up). Anyways a knew a guy at Rogers retail management and he simply says to me don't listen to that jibberish because a little unknown fact is that you can stop terminate Fido if you had been with Fido for more than a Year and sign-up for Rogers and the ECF fee of $400 will be credited back to you so long as you remain for a Month over at Rogers (this works the other way around as well). Then I hesitated as ol'Red was a bastard, there plans are alright but contain too much caveats for me to like. So while I was pondering the move for 2 days I hear you can now do a phone upgrade with your Carrier (both Fido and Rogers) so long as you've been with them for 3months. I figured this might be a cheaper way of getting the iPhone and just paying for the phone not the fancy named fees. A day later and there is speculation massing up about a 3g defect in the iPhone, moral of the story is iPhone sucks ass.

After having been with both Fido and Rogers, I much prefer Rogers hands down. I've had no issues at all. Of course if you're on a City Fido plan or something similar then you should stay.

There seems to be some issues with the 3G on the iPhone but unless you are far from the towers or the signal is weak you should have no problems and I'm speaking from experience.

With the possible exception of AMC before the the mid 1960's, Detroit was NEVER serious about small, fuel-efficient economy cars. GM originally introduced the Chevelle Malibu and Chevy Nova as "import fighters". This was to fend off the original Volkswagen Beetle, that was teaking sales away from their Chevrolet's flagship Impala model. By 1973, the 1973 Malibu was just as long as and 500 pounds heavier than the 1963 Impala. You don't even want to ask about the 1973 Impala.

When the 1973 Arab oil embargo hit...
* GM have bulked up it's Chevelle (and equivalants) to the size+weight of earlier "full size cars".
* Ford had dropped the Falcon.
* AMC had dropped the "Rambler American".
* Chrysler had bulked up the valiant to the point where it was no longer a small economy car.

If The small Chevelle and Valiant had been around in 1973, not to mention the Falcon, and Rambler American, Detroit would not have been in trouble.

Funny how GM is now hedhing it's bets and going for a hail mary with the Chevy Volt ... seems cheap enough will they keep from going bankrupt before this gets officially debuted on 2010?

Not sure if it's just me, but Bell seems to be targeting businesses in their latest ads? Maybe they just clued in that they won't work on consumers so why even target them?
