Re: Purchased I was in the same situation as you and bought a Slingbox last week (should be here on Monday).
No Slingbox currently supports an HDMI connection. The HDMI port on the Slingbox Pro is just a plug-in for a dongle that can accept component inputs.
If you want multiple inputs, your choices are boiled down to the SLingbox Solo and the Slingbox Pro. Neither will output in high def, but both can accept component inputs.
The major differences between the two is the Pro can control and accept inputs from several sources, and costs the most. The Solo will only accept input and control one source, but is a bit cheaper.
I went with the Solo myself since I will only be using my HD DVR over the connection. The cheapest I was able to find it was at Amazon for about $150 USD with free shipping. |
