Comcast Update - Delaware County PA

I recently noticed that there has been an update.
My cable box now shows the record light and the search menu has changed. Didn't notice anything much else. However these are welcomed improvements!!!!!

The performance should be a little better. Less command queuing and more responsive to the remote.

Sounds like everywhere is getting this. I don't have the update in my area, but it should be soon, I hope!

I thought I was getting an update today because I woke up around 4:15 am and I noticed the red message light on my DCT-700 blinked once. Well I went back to sleep and then when I got up around 5:30 to get ready for work, I turned the TV on and noticed it was just a stupid message. I could of swore the light blinked once or twice though, and being that the DCT-700 has no LCD display, I thought maybe it was an indication of DL.

Ha, funny thing Cypher. I too was up at 4:15 this morning, feeding the baby, and I thought "Woah, a red message light" thinking maybe it was a BTN announcement or something else. Nope, UFC advertisement. Doh!

There is a bug causing the box to report 100% full when you leave it on the channel you have set to record to the dvr.

Was that issue fixed in this new update?

I hate this bug so much!!

I always have to make sure I don't leave it on the channel I have set to record.

Has anybody tried recording to a PC via firewire w/ the new firmware? I've read over on AVS that this latest update doesn't allow it anymore. Not a 5C issue, just that it doesn't work anymore.

Re: Comcast Update - Delaware County PA

Well we should get it in a week or two, I have a good feeling.

About the firewire thing, that would suck. I'll let you know, since I finally got a laptop fast enough to record HD from firewire. I don't really use that feature much, but it's nice to know its there.
