Re: Merger might have made sense for Direct before.. Well, since they're starting to roll out the 1080P stuff a little more bandwidth might not hurt. Plus they could stop using those fake HD resolutions. |

For both DISH and DirecTV, the 1080p content is from their respective 'On-Demand' services.
DirecTV's is only delivered through the network, not satellite. DISH has both satellite download and IP/network capabilities for their OnDemand service.
