I'll bet DirecTV picked up some of those Dish subscribers

Besides the usual cable TV converts, I'll bet DirecTV picked up quite a bit of those who abandoned DISH. Why would DirecTV want to merge with Dish now. They may be able to get a lot of the Dish customers now without the costs of merging.
