| Problems with new AT&T DSL service
I have had AT&T DSL for a couple of days after switching over from cable, and have been having problems with browsing web pages or using other things such as a ventrilo voip client.
I am not losing DSL connection, but somehow have problems looking at web sites, and the only thing that seem to work at that point is Steam, which is a game client that I used to play online games. I can ping servers through that still, but nothing else seems to work. The only thing that fixes it is to restart the modem.
I have spent at least 6 or 7 hours trying to resolve this issue myself by trying to determine if my router had something to do with this, or maybe the NIC card. I have swapped both the router and the NIC card which leaves me thinking this has to be the modem.
The only thing I haven't been able to change is the vonage phone device that is hooked up to the modem, and from there to the router.
I wanted to know if it's possible that this vonage device might be influencing the modem at all, or if this is something else that needs to be fixed or reset by AT&T and has nothing to do with my hardware.
I am using a Linkys wrt54g wireless router, linksys LN100TX NIC card, and my modem is a motorola 2210-02. I have the Elite DSL 3.0 package at my residence. |

| reply to Lurkerage Wow ok I think this might be fixed now, I looked at the modem settings page and saw that it was in fact set to 1492MTU and then went to my router settings and changed it to the same number and it has been good all day today.
The help is greatly appreciated wayjac |

| reply to Lurkerage OK the DSL was working properly all day yesterday, but seem to have messed up again today so the changing of the MTU values might have been set wrong, but was not the cause of the connectivity issues :\
Any other suggestions for a solution or should I go to the direct support forum with my problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated guys. |

Lurkerage Premium join:2008-08-05 Grand Prairie, TX | reply to Lurkerage I have the 3.0/512 service. I also tried doing a technician readout on the modem after the connection was having its usual problems and it did not want to load any results at all. Very strange :\ |
