Wallpaper Thread Part IV

Edit: Just to be clear, please only post your images... photos, graphics or combinations ...all good, so long as they're your work.

Previous threads:

»The Wallpaper Thread

My old monitor was 1280x1024 but my new one is native at 1680x1050 and I decided to make a new wallpaper for it. Old thread is too old to reply to but I thought it might be fun to see what people are looking at these days.

Personally, I prefer abstract for my desktop...

Not to complain much, but the point of these threads is to share your own images that are suitable for use as wallpaper. Not ones you've discovered in random places in the tubes.

But it is my own image... granted, not done with a camera. Suitability for use as wallpaper is of course debatable.

I used:
• TextureMaker »www.texturemaker.com/tour.php
• Richard Rosenman's grid generating plugin »www.richardrosenman.com/software/downloads/
• Corel Photopaint for image editing (layers, masks, applying a few of my own plugins, etc)

Sorry about my post then - misunderstood the point of the thread.

I'm a subscriber at Vlad's so it wasn't random for me.

Here is mine. I like to use the astro photos I have taken. It's a bit streached but looks fine on my 1152x864 screen.

A friend of mine liked the full moon last night and wanted me to make her a background, so here it is:

SONY DSLR-A700
200mm 1/1600th F4.5 ISO800

1920 x 1200

SONY DSLR-A700
200mm 1/1600th F4.5 ISO800

1280x1024

Why 1/1600th @ 800 (you may ask?). No tripod handy.
