Tecatisocati : Week before last, out of the blue I have to move brightness setting up about 20% on both TV's (Hitachi 51F59 51" rear proj HDTV, and Panasonic Tau 20" flat tube direct view) to get the same picture fidelity on all channels, as I was getting. At the same time, I had to dial DOWN color on the Hitachi to keep it from appearing over saturated.

Insight has been upgrading their network around here, is this a side effect?

Picture sharpness and definition is unchanged. Just black level (brightness) and color saturation. On my Hitachi I used to run brightness @ 56 (0 - 100 scale) and now to get same black level I have to set it @ 70. Similar black level situation on the Panasonic direct view.

This is Evansville, Indiana area.
