Insight has been upgrading their network around here, is this a side effect?

Picture sharpness and definition is unchanged. Just black level (brightness) and color saturation. On my Hitachi I used to run brightness @ 56 (0 - 100 scale) and now to get same black level I have to set it @ 70. Similar black level situation on the Panasonic direct view.
