LTE won't exist until 2010 in Verizon's roadmap (i.e., if everything goes correctly), so it doesn't make sense to just give up until then... Also, with cellular devices, one network can fall back on another, so LTE devices (or at least those sold by VZW) will go back down to EV-DO networks in places where LTE hasn't be deployed, so it makes sense to have a good EV-DO network in place even then. |
| so what you're really trying to say is that they're going to have a multi protocol device which will fall back to EVDO, or even 1x mmmkay.
well 2010 is less than 18 months away... let's wait and see. |
